High School Crew - Th3 Dr00gs

I had an odd high school experience [only there for freshman, sophmore - finished the other two years early] but I will never forget my high school crew.  We were a dandy bunch of troublemakers.  And yet, I don't talk to any of them anymore.  We called ourselves the Droogs [yes, C/O reference] and we all had nicknames.  We listened to LIVE and NIN and did random stuff.  I think about those times more often lately, and I can't believe some of the stuff that we did.  I was never arrested or really caught at anything I did.  Makes me think I used up all my luck!

One year, we were bored after Christmas.  I went to my little coffee shop job that morning and noticed that Lowes next door was giving away all the left over Christmas trees.  I thought, cool, maybe do a bonfire or something.  So I loaded four in the back of the Jeep and picked up Chuckles, my sister Mac, Gypsy, Sunshine and Corvis.  Everyone was sitting on and around the trees.  It was goofy and it smelled so piney.  We decided to put the trees up in people's yards.  Good fun - One, Two, Three done......then on the fourth house, we had being doing this randomly, we blew by my ex-boyfriend's house.  Too tempting and like I said, I had no conscience.  So I start to do the tree and my sister notices these buckets of paint in the back.  I had grabbed some of the mixmatched paint for a couple of bucks while I was at Lowes.  She pulls out a huge tub and takes it to the end of this guys driveway, then SPLAT - she dropped it and it busted.  I am pretty sure some red and black sparkles starting coming off my head because what i did next was pure evil.  I kicked the bucket over and poured the paint down the driveway - which was shaped like a ski slope.  Where it pooled at the bottom was right where the garage door was.  I rolled the last tree down the slope, coating it in paint and stuck it to the garage door.

Come to find out later that poor Ben's and his parents were out of town.  When they returned everything was firmly stuck.  They has to replace the driveway and the garage door.  And there was a rumor some guy named Mike Johnson did it.  I feel bad for him.  He was blamed as well when Daniel got busted.  But that is another cracked out story.

By still carrying the JeepChick nickname, I feel like I might be holding on a bit to those days when responsibilty and remorse were two words I didn't know.  Thinking of changing it to MiddleAgedHonkey or CorollaQueen or something more fitting...lol
