This is How Multiplayer Should Be

I am not sure I can recall what my expectations were for the Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Beta.  It was nothing specific that I wanted from the game, just an overall sense of "this is gonna rock!"  And it does.  An XBL friend of mine compared the feeling to the one he got when you played GoldenEye007 for the first time.  "So this is multiplayer."  WoW.  COD4 is the way multiplayer should be.   I have yet to see any real major hitches in the game and the more I explore the weapons the more I love the qualities of this game.

Last night I got to play with an Infinity Ward employee.  Apparently he is "kinda a big deal" ...lol... the guys in there knew who he was.  IW Peasant kept pretty quiet and then we corned him with questions.  Yes, there are more game types coming.  No, this isn't the final cut, they are still tweaking and adding to it.  He also showed off some of  the weapons I hadn't been using.  And, yes, he pwnd....pwnd us like we were a fifth grade class taking senior year physics.  The highlight of that map was when I snuck up and knifed a sniper and Peasant said, "Nice."  Oh, yes, I got "niced" by IW......lol.  The C4 is def something to be using on search and destroy - and there is even a way to set it and switch to your gun - you just double tap reload to ignite it.  Nice.....

Beyond that he jumped into some of my games the rest of the evening.  I friended up with him and I hope I can pull him into a 2old2play group sometime soon.  Cause this is how Multiplayer should be.......and this is my official thumbs up.
