Ups & Downs...

Received Bioshock and played about 6 hours straight last night. Beautiful graphics and interesting game mechanics are the flags for this game. If I feel better later I may write more about the game, in the meantime you may want to read the ars review.

While playing last night, I looked up at the clock and realized it was 1am on a workday morning, so I figured I should get some sleep. Neighbors were being a bit noisy, but my white noise generator (desk fan) did a good enough job. Well, until about 4:30am when some new friend/relative came over and they started drinking, singing to the stereo and talking way to loud for any of my noise maskers (and ear plugs). When I walked over and told them they were too loud – 1% reduction. Had to sleep on the recliner in the living room (not bad, if you don't mind feeling sea sick or drunk and getting sliced by cracked & aged vinyl).

Hmm, I'll have to find out if the whole team is present at work. Today is looking too much like a sick (& tired) day...
