It's because slimer is actually really difficult to look at--I mean the guy is f-ing nasty. Did anyone else play 'Ghostbusters' on the Commodore 64 where if you screwed up and slimer got to you your guy would lay on the ground flailing and say 'He slimed me' in this disturbingly weird computerized voice? I think at the beginning it said 'Ghostbusters!!' in that same disturbing voice.
