More Tiger Woods 08

I mentioned in my last blog that I had purchased Tiger Woods 08.  How do I set up a match for me and my buddies?  I went to online, set up a room, and made it friends only.  Before I could get my friend in the room, somebody else had joined.  They weren't a friend.  Then I couldn't figure out how to kick them so I had to back out of the room and try again.  this happened several times before my friend could enter.  There has to be an easier way to play with friends.  Can somebody help me out?  If this is the only way, this seems to be a major problem they need to fix.  Still loving the game, just now loving getting on line with a buddy.
