Paradox or stupid saying?
I was in a panic earlier this afternoon. As I was completing a career self assessment, I was unable to find a letter of recognition that the CEO of our business had written to me last year. I recalled the saying "It's always in the last place you look".
Well no shit. I mean, when I find it, I'm going to stop looking. So naturally, the last place I look -- even if it's the first place I look -- will be where I find the thing I'm looking for.
So tell me -- is this a paradox or just a stupid saying? I'm thinking "stupid saying". Anybody got any other self-evident stupid sayings? Oh, and let me qualify by saying that anything Yogi Berra has said doesn't count, such as "it ain't over 'til it's over".

I remember reading something about a witness in a trial who said 'i'm going to be honest for a minute' and they threw out the rest of his testimony. I doubt it's true but it sure is funny.
stupid saying, and stupider blog ass

I'm with Baine trying to break the S/T continuum.
My favorite is \"I could care less\". I mean how much less could you care? The proper phrase is \"I couldn't care less\" since it indicates that you have reached the bottom limit of caring.
