I'm sure this won't matter much to most, if not all of you guys, but I'm headin south. I've been up here in the Chicago area now for about five years now, occasionally heading down to St. Louis but never down to our home port of New Orleans. Well we're heading that way now! It'll be nice not having to break ice all winter or worry about the crew getting frost bite, hyperthermia and the like. It's not permanent but at least it's for the winter! The only draw back is we'll be 1100' long instead of our normal 695', well it'll make things interesting.

you should do a blog post about what a day in the life of a modern day sailor. Outside of the discovery fishing show (the big lobster gathering miniseries thing they did) I know nothing of it.

Don't drink and drive! ;) J/K! I'm sure it'll be good practice for that Winnebago. :)
