Tis the Season

As the  days grow ever shorter and the mornings are cold enough to have to scrape the windshields I remember why I don't like this time of year.  I always feel it is synonymous with death.  Leaves go brown, die and fall.  Trees go bare and flowers wither to nothing.  Although there are still some trees that have some green leaves yet.  I like to think they are fighting off the inevitable bareness of fall.  Grass is still green but not growing any more and will begin turning brown in the near future.  The animals have grown thicker coats for the coming cold weather.  Oh, wait, it is already here.  Of course, the most distinguishing characteristic of fall is the sound of the geese flying south.  I actually was able to hear the flock flying overhead this morning.  They were that loud.

Driving in the country is almost depressing for me.  Green is life on the earth and brown is...not.  I know it isn't death but a hibernation, but the lifeless ground  makes me want spring all the more quickly.

My jaw is healing nicely.  I'm eating solid (no sharp corners) food and still no sign of a dry socket.  I'm off the pain meds and feel a lot more clear headed.  Still a mild throb but not bad, just annoying.

I'm heading to Best Buy to get my copy of COD4 when they open.  I hope all goes well tonight so I can hop on and start ranking up in some MM.  I know most of the clan has their copy and the rest will be getting it to day or tomorrow.  Plus, it is a long weekend starting Thursday night till Monday (Veterans Day)  I just need to make sure my homework and the stepson's homework is completed!  Of course, I can't do his homework but I can stand behind him until it's done:)

Work load is picking up as is my school project.  I see both exploding by the end of the month and I won't have a moment to call my own, let alone for the family.

Would you Rather
Burst a huge bubblegum bubble all over your own mouth, nose, eyes, and hair before having to painstakingly pick it all off
Or
Pick dried super glue off your own fingers after accidentlly squirting a whole tube of it on your hands?

Keep on Go!
