Shared on Mon, 11/12/2007 - 06:24Here it is Monday again! I never work Mondays. I like my long weekend, and I have that choice. Most people like Fridays for a long weekend. I guess......but I have always preferred Monday. Go figure! The full-time thing isn't gonna happen. Well, it could, if I was willing to do 5 days. NOT!! One of the nurses "misunderstood" that I was offered 4 days/week. The reality was that I said I would do it if I could work 4 days/week, which, thanks to her, I cannot. She started a heated discussion about who has worked there longer (actually, me) and playing favorites, and that sort of thing. Well, she stirred up a huge can of worms with her misinformation, so I just dropped the whole thing. I'm working 3 days/week already, so.......
This particular Monday could prove to be a busy one. Right now I am enjoying the quiet of early morning, but I have a couple of appointments this morning...yeh, my shrink and chiropractor. Ouch, my back, and, ouch, my brain! So, I will get a shower after a bit and take off. Hopefully, I will make contact this afternoon with my newest LAN prospect. It's close to the airport, at least close enuf that they have a "complimentary shuttle service". Included in the price of the rooms is a hot breakfast and a reception with snacks and such. Oh yeh, they are also suites! Nice. And they have lots and lots of "meeting space". It is frustrating, tho, that you have to actually talk to someone, a real person, before you can get prices for meeting spaces. I actually have a proposal sitting on my computer right now, but I think I will have to refuse that one. It doesn't sound as good as this one, that is, if the meeting room doesn't cost an arm and a leg. We have to decide very soon! Some of these places require deposits. Not sure about this one, but.......
Why can't we get all the people together in the world that we really like and then just stay together? I guess that wouldn't work. Someone would leave. Someone always leaves and then we have to say good-bye. I hate good-byes. I know what I need. I need more hellos.
