I went out to get my mail this afternoon and found that someone had emptied a can of peaches into my mailbox. The mailman was good enough to put a rubber band around my mail with a shitty catalog on the outside, shielding the letters and bills from the peaches/juice. I guess compared to some of the idiotic stuff I did as a teenager, peaches in the mailbox is pretty benign.
When I was a kid, I promised myself I'd never turn into the asshole dad of the neighborhood. Now that I'm grown up, I realize those dads weren't assholes, I was just a dumbass punk with too much time on his hands.
Something about this situation has the faint aroma of karma about it....

If and when the time comes, just make sure not to accidentally stomp on any flaming bags on the front doorstep. That'll definitely seal the deal in becoming the \"old guy\" who pumps his fists and yells \"I'm gonna catch you dang blasted kids\" at the practical jokers hiding behind the shrubs.
Peaches in the mailbox, dumb, but original i guess, first time I ever heard it, last summer there was a party at the end of my street, and some drunk guy punched dents in all the mailboxes, then a few months later, the flag on the mailbox was stolen, and finally a month later or so, it and the post it was attached to was laying on the ground.................when I was a teen, I did the baseball bat mailbox ball...........so yeah, I got hit by the karma train as well
