Shared on Mon, 11/19/2007 - 16:33Last night I was chillin' on the couch with Shakes, and baby was wiggling up a storm. (Im 30 weeks, aka 7 months pregnant) My tummy looked like the ocean on an episode of "deadliest catch" I could see it contorting through the fuzzy blanket and two shirts I was wearing.
Baby was REALLY going to town in there.
I pulled up my shirt to watch the show, and all of a sudden I felt like how the guy on Alien must have felt. I swore this little guy was forcing his way through my abdominal muscles.
I went to push him back into place with my hand, when I realized exactly what I was feeling. I could feel leg, pointy knee, and leg again. (in a 7 shape)
I dont ever remember being able to tell so precisely what body part I was feeling before. Which is funny because Im packing 20-30 lbs more with this kid then any other.
He was pretty persistent on his escape, so Shakes got a good feel too. Today I have a bruise there. Not a blue one on my skin, but that point is TENDER.
Times like this kinda weird me out. Something about having an entire human living in my stomach makes me kinda skiddish. Dont take me wrong, its WAY cool too, but it is also a little unnerving. Since this is kid four you would think I would have come to grips with this by now. But no, it still weirds me out.
I keep expecting a scene like this
