Shared on Tue, 11/20/2007 - 21:33Its that time of year again.
Time to sit in traffic with grumpy children! Nothing like four to five hours in the car with nothing to drink or eat since two states ago while stuck in a major metropolitan city's Thanksgiving rush traffic! Let's play the game of "Who pooped?" or "How many veins are on daddy's forehead after that Tacoma cut him off for the third time?" or that old chestnut "Talk Radio talk back discussions with your spouse!" (let's see where everyone's allegiances REALLY lie)
That's right, pack up your baby dolls and toy cars, we're on a road-trip to Grandma and Grandpa's house!
What makes this visit different this year, you ask?
Simple, I'm bringing my PS3.
See, the parents went on an exotic trip and took a bazillion pictures (okay that's exaggeration, eight hundred is not). The PS3 has a media card reader. We can stick the memory card in, plug the PS3 up to the TV and voila - instant slide show. This clears my father up to keep mixing drinks and get his hands of the slide carousel remote, thus making the trip more enjoyable for everyone.
Ahh... Portable gaming goodness. This might be a good weekend after all, what with BSG on Saturday night.
