The Day After

I know this is the day after Thanksgiving, but, as I mentioned before, we are having turkey day today.  I have been cooking since yesterday, and I need a break.  Sent hubby on an errand, turned up the tunes, and I'm chilling for a while.  It was a beautiful day yesterday, still nice today but about 15-20 degrees cooler.  That's ok.  As that turkey cooks, I'll be opening the windows, anyways.  Nice to be off today....I almost always work Fridays.

So, the turkey is in the oven, the sweet potato casserole and squash thingee are in the fridge, all prepared.  Need to throw them in the oven 30 mins before we eat.  I made a pumpkin pie yesterday and apple muffins.  Yes!  From scratch!  Is there any other way?  We stretched the table for more people...  What else?  Daughter is bringing the green bean casserole and inlaws another pie.  Cranberries are ready.  I am so out of practice, this is killing me!  I always over do the food.  We will have leftovers for, omg, at least a week.  And carcass soup from the turkey bones.  All that traditional stuff.  Whew!  Hmmm, they will be here in a couple hours.....
