Sleeping Beauty

So I go pick up my wife and we arrive home.  My daughter really missed my wife (so did I) and wanted to play dress up. So my wife puts on our daughter her Sleeping Beauty outfit.  My daughter comes out to the living room and says she is sleeping beauty but she needs a prince.  Then she said to me, "You can be my prince daddy".  There is only one reply that can be given.  YES.

So she says she is going to go into the bedroom and go to sleep.  She tells me I need to come in and kiss her to wake her up.  I go in her room and she is laying on her back and has her hands folded on her chest like you see a dead person.  She has her eyes closed and doesn't even open them when I come into the room.  I give her a kiss on the lips and she slowly opens her arms and stretches.  It was so cute.  Then we had to dance.  So we go into the living room and dance.

We do this 3 times.  The third time I decided to test her patience.  I come into her room and slowly move towards her and slowly lean down to give her a kiss.  The kid DOESN'T EVEN FLINCH.  I figured she would say something like hurry up daddy.  She was getting sleepy so she rolled over onto her belly.  I had to tell her that once the prince kisses her she is supposed to wake up.  She said, "Oh Right".

Here is the kicker.  She hasn't seen Sleeping Beauty since we moved to our new house which was in August.

She cracks me up.  I am going to be in trouble when she turns into a teenager.

LOL

I'm just happy my 4 year old has two older brothers. She's all girl but at least once a week one of them comes running out shouting "She punched me in the privates!" Amazing how girls just know how to be girls. You'd think it was a natural roll for them to act feminine... oh man! I've screwed up now!

We'll be there with you. Ugh. Have you seen my "So you want to date my daughter" thing? If not it's time to post it again.

Awesome story. I'm glad I have my two boys, but things like this make me wish I had a daughter to be a prince for, lol. You know what's cool about having a boy, though? There's just that one 'boy part' I need to worry about getting into trouble. When you have a girl, you need to worry about ALL of them.
