Shared on Fri, 12/14/2007 - 07:14So yesterday, I was to have my interviews for the Quality Leader role at Cooper Power. The problem was that I was up a good chunk of Wednesday night with my daughter who has tonsilitis and the flu. Midway through my fourth interview yesterday, I start getting a really bad headache. I'm cold, but I'm sweating. And nausea is starting to kick in.
By the time the Director of HR comes in for my 5th interview, I'm ready to puke. She can tell I'm not doing well. I ask if I can go to the bathroom and splash some water on my face and when I get there, I am as pale as a sheet.
We agree that it would probably be best to call it a day and continue the interviews today (Friday), so I go back in at 10am. The problem is that 2 of the VPs aren't available today. I don't know how the decision making process will occur, but if these two guys have a chance to interview other candidates, but not me, it may put me at a competitive disadvantage. But I suppose not so much of a disadvantage than if I had puked during the interview.
I got home just in time to do some serious toilet hugging. I'm feeling much better today, so hopefully all goes well...
