The results from yesterday evenings Iowa caucus put Barak Obama in the forefront on the Democratic party ticket. That is pretty awesome considering 'big media' had Hillary in a very large lead. The number shows Obama leading Edwards by 8% and Hillary by 9%. Very cool.
Hopefully the New Hampshire primary on Tuesday, 8-Jan, will push Obama into the lead for the running.
Although it may appear that I am an Obama supporter, I am really just a slightly enthused observer. I consider Obama the lesser of the two evils on the Democratic party lineup. The only real Democratic candidates being Obama and Edwards. Obama may be lacking some experience, Edwards wants to help the legal profession and Clinton is too far to the right to be considered a Democrat. Any politician that supports corporate lobbyists over civilian rights should be ineligible to run for any electable/appointable position, IMHO.
Still, way to go Democratic Hawkeyes!
Oh, yeah. In thedamned, anti-civil rights, anti-peace, anti-consumer, anti-humanity, anti-American-way-of-life, pro-corporation, pro-fear-n-hate-mongering-religion, hyper-capitalism, Neo-Christian values and money engorged, Republican race, it appears that Huckabee has gotten the nod. Goody, now I have some research to do to determine what kind of evil warmth lurks in that husk, um, friendly and affable human heart.
In other news, some of the TV networks still have un-aired shows left to burn-off, better watch 'em while they last. I still have episodes left of the Futurama marathon shows aired by Adult Swim and now Comedy Central to watch. For those that watch them, some of the late-night 'comedy' shows are scheduled to return. So Conan and Letterman may be returning. Same goes for the usually funny Daily Show & occasionally funny Colbert Report. It'll be interesting to see how they fare without the writers...
In gaming news, finally, we have articles from lifehacker about two tricks to getting your xbox 360 connected to the intertubes via wireless without forking over a C-note for thatoverpriced adapter that MS sells. How to use your laptop as a 'free' xbox wi-fi adapter and buidling an xbox wi-fi adapter on the cheap. These might come in handy if you ever stuck in a wi-fi equipped hotel for a while and want to get your networked gaming fix (lag, no doubt, included for free).
