Dear Mr. Reynolds and Mr. Jack,
I received your email today when I got home from work. I must say that I am both surprised and amazed! I do not remember ever playing London Lotto, but I do gamble quite a bit. Regrettably, I must also confess that I sometimes drink too much also. This may have a negative effect on my remembering of such matters.
This cross I must bear has unfortunately also resulted in the disconnection of my phone. This would explain why you were unable to reach me by it as it is no longer in service. I also do not have a passport. I have never had the chance to travel out of the USA, so I have never got one. I really hope these things will not delay the transfer of the lotto interest payment. I do have a checking account, as well as a drivers license and social security card that will establish I am who I say. If it would help make this process easier, I would be willing to provide a small fee back to you from my interest.
As you said time is important, please get back to me as soon as you can about how to go forward. I do not have a phone, but the restaurant I work at is next to a Kinkos and I can use their fax machine.
Thank you again,
Marcus Twain
Barclays bank London UKResponse:
From: The Desk of Mr. Michael Reynolds
Managing Director,
PAYMENT OF US$800,000.00 INTEREST INTO YOUR ACCOUNT
I am Michael Reynolds Managing Director, Corporate Services Division
and Head of Swift Transfer Unit of
Barclays bank London UK. Sometime ago, in our bank your inheritance
fund was brought to our bank from National Lotto Group here in England and
after some period, the money was taken back to their treasury. But
for the period of time this money was in our bank, it generated an
interest of US$800,000.00 which we are about to pay you Via International
Certified Bank Draft through our corresponding bank in US. (Bank of
America).
For your information and advice, you need to hasten up to pick this
Fund because from time to time the National Lotto Group auditors do come
to our bank to cross-check our files and our financial update, the
earlier you comply with the demands of the delivery of the fund, the faster
the action, because when the auditors arrive and find out that this
interest fund is still in our bank they will call back the accrued
interest to the lotto treasury account.
What we need from you now is any form of your identification for
example;your International passport or your driver license, your telephone
and fax numbers for easy communication to you with your mailing address
where this Draft will be delivered. As a matter of fact we dont have
enough time to waste since we have wasted time in contacting you through
phone, so try and comply with the entire necessary requirement for the
transaction.
Contact Mr. Larry Jack
E-mail: l.jack@rock.com
Phone No: +44-703-195-5591
Fax No: +44-703-195-5591
Note I have attempted to call you but all effort failed and I had to
send you a mail on this email address, which I guess belongs to you.
Expecting your prompt response.
Yours Sincerely,
Mr. Michael Reynolds
Managing Director
