d'oh I Jinxed naps... and sports superstitions

booo..... yesterday she was so good, and I dared the fates by blogging about her napping like a champ. She's upstairs right now. Happy, babbling away, but awake.  I'll give her more time, but I'm not that confident.  edit: asleep! w00t!

I am having so much fun with the COD campagin. I can't wait to try it on ... what ever it is that's after easy.  What else: my new clan is hilarious: very active and FUNNY! Can't wait to get on for some COD action tonight!

I was going to play on line last night, but here's what happened. The Leafs game happened. That's "ice hockey" for all of you Non Canadians.  My Husband is a Leafs fan through and through. He bleeds Blue and White. For years I didn't watch Leafs playoff hockey in the same room with him; it worked out well. He bought me 2 books per playoff round and I also got to eat the good luck bag of chips when the Leafs inevitably lost.

Good luck bag of chips you ask?  What is this silly bitch speaking of? 

Well, my husband does a sort of good luck Feung Shui when he watches playoff hockey. He will sit in different chairs, in different areas of the room, lights go on and off, etc... trying to build "Waves of Concern." Now for those of you not in the know, when a sports fan looks intently at the TV box, s/he is building up "Waves of Concern" (WoC).  You make WoC, then push them through the TV and onto the field of play. Whichever team builds up the most WoC wins. Well at least that how I figure it.  See... when Sean was a teenager, he had a bag of chips. Not just any bag of chips but a Humpty Dumpty Salt and Vinegar small sized bag of chips. He put it on top of the TV, hoping that it would further channel and perhaps augment his WoC. Well, it obviously worked, the Leafs came from behind to win the game and the series. So... Sean still (after over 10 years) picks up a bag of (you guessed it) Humpty Dumpty Salt and Vinegar (personal sized!) bag of lucky chips.  And he puts it on top of the TV. 

One year we went to Vegas during the palyoffs. He brought them with him.  He asked if I thought people would mind if he put the chips on the HUGE tv that was in the sports book. Not sure if he was kidding.

Back to COD and last night. The Leafs are teh suck right now. It makes him a cranky lad. I was going to play, but he sat in the chair, turned the channel, and I could see the aura of WoC. No: these were not the usual WoC, this was a major channeling. Boy was Sean on his GAME! They won! But Sean secretly is hoping that they lose a few more games,  fires everyone and starts fresh. Maybe he could get a job as GM? Can't be any worse than Fergeson.
