Slow Down Of Good Game Releases - But That Is A Good Thing

From the period of mid-august to mid-November, it seemed like there wasn't a week that went by where an A-list blockbuster title was released.  It truely was a golden period of gaming on the 360.  With titles like Bioshock, Halo 3, The Orange Box, COD4, Assassin's Creed and Mass Effect it seemed like I could hardly keep u with all the action.  At times it was even difficult to decide which game I wanted to sink my teeth into for a few hours.

Well the holidays have passed and it looks like we will be waiting until mid-2008 until we get a few more A-list blockbuster titles (personally I am counting don the days until GTA IV).  This is a good thing because I now have time to dive even deeper into "The A-list".  Team Fortress 2, Halo 3, and COD4 are always on my regular MP playlist.  I have been able to start a second playthrough on Mass Effect and finding it just as enjoyable as the first time. Choosing the Renegade path is proving to be quit fun.  I just started to play through the Half Life series again (Half LIfe 2, Episode 1, Episode 2) and for some reason I am enjoying it more than the first time I played it through.  I can almost hear Bioshock begging me for another play through and believe me I'll get to that as well.  If I do ge the urge to play something new I always have Rock Band waiting for me.  With 4 different difficulty levels and many different carreer and MP modes, there is alwasy lots of "new" gaming available in Rock Band.  Not to mention that Rock Band is the most fun game out there period.

If you are the type of person that is just itching to get your hands on the next A-list release, have some patience.  This is a great time to dive deep into all the great titles that are currently out and rediscover ones you have already fell in love with.  It won't be long until we are all buried again by new A-list releases.

Ya, nothing on my buy list until March with Rainbow6 and April will also be a big month too with GTA4 and Battlefield Plus lots of other decent titles coming out besides those in March/April. Until then, i'll be playing catch up on what i didn't have time to play in Nov and Dec.

Mercenaries 2 in April, I believe. I'll be waiting in line, even if I'm the only one. Otherwise, yeah, I agree, now is the time to go enjoy the games you couldn't wait to get your hands on.
