I never really keep my new year's resolutions. I don't think that's news. I don't smoke, if anything I'm too skinny, I don't drink to excess, I don't beat my wife, I get laid often enough I don't really have any obvious resolutions. This year I decided to try to get free shit. I know that's not the greatest resolution but its something.

I think that I could quit right now and feel pretty accomplished. January isn't over and already:

1. $400 check from gadgetcity.

2. $50 Barnes & Noble Gift Card from Vocus Software. I just did this the other day. You just sit through a 25 minute online presentation with a sales guy, I did it on my lunch break. Heck, some of you might be able to do it as part of your job. I got an online gift card for $50 within a week of the presentation. The software is actually pretty cool. http://www.vocus.com/marketingprofs/smallbusiness/index.asp For those of you who would say I'm wasting a salesman's time, they sent me the direct mail piece and called me. They should know better then to send a non-profit ads for $10k software.

3. My wireless Les Paul crapped out on me after a month or two so I sent it back for repairs. The other day I came home from work to find that they resent me the entire package with guitar and game and all the crappy little goodies. I'll make you a deal on 2 GH3 keychains.

I realize that this stuff isn't all that exciting, but its the thrill of the hunt right now. There is something so rewarding when you get something for nothing. I"m sure that like most resolutions I'll forget about this in a few weeks, but for now I'm enjoying it.

Well that was short and boring...here are some funny pics that you might make up for it a little. After all you're probably trying to waste company time, glad I could help.
