Ewww, I hate going.....

I went 3 years once without seeing the dentist, that was when i was working abroad. Then i was seeing a dentist and then i stopped for another 2 years, now i'm back to seeing one. I actually go in for cleanings 4 times a year now instead of 2 but there's a reason for it. The dentistry is so much better now though. Instead of those scraping hook things, the hygenist has a supersonic thing that just chisels the plaque off the teeth. It's fast and doesn't hurt . Then i had a cavity filled once and they didn't use a drill, they used this new sand blasting device. Well they used the drill to get through the enamal since it's so hard, then after that it was sand blasting. It hurt so little that I didn't even need to be numbed up and getting those numbing shots most of the time hurts worse than the work they do. My dentist also has these goggles you put on that have TV screens inside and that's hooked up to a dvd player. So if you're in for a longer procedure, yo ucan watch a movie. The last Hygenist i went to though was old so she used the old school scrapers and picks. I saw her earlier this week, hated it! Need to make sure i don't get that hygenist again :lol:
