So I called PennDot and asked what the dillyo, and apparently someone had rebuilt the odometer on my car. Strange that no one else has brought this up before.
Fine. What can I do to get past this and get my car registered?
“Oh, sorry sir. We can’t see the files at this office, we don’t know exactly why it is flagged. We’ll put in a request to the system and someone will call you in 3 days.”
So 3 days go by and I call again.
“sorry sir, we don’t know why they haven’t called, would you like to put in another request or maybe speak to a supervisor?”
Sure why not. The supervisor proceeds to tell me that they don’t know crap. The have no way to contact their e-fuck-up department. Apparently there is an imaginary group of people somewhere in an imaginary building that sneak into the Penndot computers at night and reads/responds to problems. Supervisor shaniqua continues to tell me that I need to calm down, this is only my first request and that usually it takes 3 requests to get a response.
Seriously!??? You want people to call, wait 3 days rinse and repeat 3 times before you respond? So that is a minimum of 9 business days, add in weekends and its almost 2 weeks. What a freaking joke.
So after more bitching and cynicism on my part she said that she put in a super duper high priority request and promised that they would call today. We’ll see.
Meanwhile I’m 2 weeks into an expired registration and inspection with no end in site. I basically have no recourse if these people decide never to call me. Anyone want to buy a Hyundai with seemingly low miles?
