More Saturday morning ramblings...

I have so much time for random thoughts during my workout at the gym.  I am feeling bad about having to cut out some of my exercises for a while.  That dumb psoas muscle injury, strain, or whatever.  I am feeling much, much better.  But, doc said hold off on some of the weight lifting stuff that would aggravate it.  Bah!  Actually, anything that works on my "core", seems to effect it, so I cut out 4 that work on my back, and cut my weight to 40 lbs. on the crunch machine.  It was toooo easy, so I doubled my crunches.  Still was easy.

Another random thought....Men are from Mars, Women are from Venus.  Yeh, I think a fair amount about the differences between men and women.  I have gotten into debates about the "feeling" vs "thinking" thing.  Well, of course, I feel more than I think, but I think, too!  Men seem to hate to admit that they even feel anything.  A few blogs ago I had a pic of a man with his head buried in the sand.  Yep!  I believe that is the way a lot of guys handle problems.  Then, there are the "snipers".  We won't go into detail, but I am very, very familiar with that form of communication.  And the silent treatment.  Men or women?  Well, I think we both do that.  It certainly tends to make a point!  And, sometimes, things are better left unsaid...

I am feeling happy and sad at the same time for my very good friend Beth.  She is my age, and has found her soul mate, who is  at least 10 years younger than her.  Hmmmm.  Nice.  Why am I sad?  She resisted for a loooong time cuz he is the husband of another of her friends.  But, he was being deployed this past week and they decided (um, spontaneously) to do the dirty.  They spent the day together, then went to her place.  That's why I am soooo sad for her.  Now, she is in pain.  I know this pain can last a long time.  I also know that this ain't over yet!  There's always email, webcam.....And he will only be gone 3 months.  I can just about see her future, and it isn't pretty.  Ahhh, the games people play.
