Shared on Fri, 03/07/2008 - 09:49I've been playing through the single player campaign for "Rainbow Six Vegas" lately. I'm hoping to finish it before the sequel hits the stores. Yes, I've preordered it.
I seem to do a little better with the slower and more thoughtful pacing of R6 Vegas, when compared to the spawn-sprint-die, spawn-sprint-die pacing of Call of Duty 4. I haven't played multiplayer against other people all that much, though, so that could be a mistaken assumption. Time will tell.
One of the nice aspects of R6V is having team members. Specifically, team members with virtually no free will. It comes in particularly handy when you need to find out where the ambush is. And they're so damn cheerful about it.
"Say guys, why don't you two move out into that big open space over there and try to draw some fire."
"Roger!"
"Hoo-rah!"
"Tango spotted!"
"Engaging Tangos!"
"Michael is down!"
"Ahh-ahh-ahhh!!!
