Sculpting work

What's up everyone?

Work was slow last week, and I had a lot of down time. The bills got paid, so I guess I shouldn't complain.

At work we're starting the latest round of toy tee shirt heads this week. As I said earlier, a lot of colleges are getting really interested in these to put their mascots on hats and such. It's been a nice change of pace from painting gargantuan faux aborigine art work for Outback. We've yet to hear a final word from Marvel, but I have my fingers crossed that I will be doing some superheros in the future.

All the artwork that we use comes in drawn at 3/4's perspective. Which is most of one side of the face showing, and only a quarter of the other side of the face. The problem with this is that we have to have the heads sculpted from a staring straight ahead view. So creative liberties have to be taken. This is my first ever attempt at sculpting, which so far took four hours. We're all going back to the shop tomorrow to get critiques/help from my boss, and start adding the details.

so here are some pics of my progress:

Here is a link to the toy tee website if anyone is interested in checking it out:

Also, we sold our LAST puppy a couple weekends ago! THANK GOODNESS!!! We had to take somewhat of a hit on the price as she was 15 weeks old, but we are done! We may be doing all of this again this fall..we'll see.....

Later on!

I could barely sculpt a stick figure, when I was younger. Nice work.

Mmmm, what a purdy mouth on that. Now I know why you aren't on so much as of late.

Pwnd by the newISH guy. That's a shame. Good job on the sculpting though. Now that Markus has mentioned it, can you make a vagina shirt? That would be sweet.
