Hunt your eggs or whatever and enjoy the day. Some of you will be going to church today like you usually do. Some of you will be going to church today because this is the one day each year you decide to attend. Personally, I would be going today but I'm stuck at home due to extenuating circumstances. Still though, I miss the music. Gospel is one of my favorite genres. Gospel brought us blues and jazz, which in turn lead us to the modern country, hip hop, pop and rock and roll we listen to today. I'll be kicking it old school today (you know how I do).
Mahalia Jackson - Live at the 1958 Newport Jazz Festival
Miss Mahalia sings to a bunch of drunk white people.
The Mighty Clouds of Joy - Mighty High (no live video, sorry. Still a great song)
Andrae Crouch - At the 1978 Billy Graham Crusade in Memphis
This one's new school
Marvin Sapp - Never Would have Made It
Take care peeps - Jim
