I need some advice on what headphones would be good for me. I wear them here at work while mowing and working outside, so they have to be loud and fucking reliable.  Or you can make jokes about my wife, which ever.

bose over-the-ear cup headphones. I make this statement with no experience with said headphones nor any knowledge of their performance, but... you know what? Fuck you.

I have these two types for snowboarding and like them both. I prefer the wrap around ones though http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/smokinbuds-p-10.html?zenid=1d05e3426069c3... or http://www.skullcandy.com/shop/iconrecruit-p-9.html

Get a set of Noise Cancellation Headphones. They range in price from 29.99 - 300.00. They help cancel the noise out so you don't have to crank up the volume as high. They take a signal like this and input the opposite signal / which reduces or removes the volume of the original signal. They work great for traveling in cars, planes and mowing lawns. They don't get rid of all the noise but they are great for "droning" noises. I picked up a pair last May before I flew over seas. When I got to Ukraine my ears weren't blistered from the constant sound of the plane engines. I have the Philips HN 110 Folding Noise Canceling Headphones. $35.00 at Amazon.

JVC Marshmallows. Cheap and noise isolating. If you want to go higher end.... Shure EC2s....or the like.
