g-babies. yay!

My grandbabies are coming tonight!  They will be here in about an hour.  Oh boy!  Family gaming again!  They will be here until Friday afternoon.  Course, yes, I have to work.  But it has been since Christmas that I have seen them.  Everyone is so busy!  And they requested to go see Mamma for spring break.  What a deal!  I get hugs and kisses and all the perks, then I get to send them home!  Yay me!

The sad thing I found out today is that one of my coworkers had to fly home to her brand new grandbaby that was born too soon.  Her daughter was only 6 months pregnant, and the infant is around 2 lbs.  It's off the vent, but still not doing well.  Sooo sad.  I did my brief stint in the NICU many moons ago, and I see nothing but hardship for that family.  The baby might surviive, in fact, prolly will.  But it is likely a 2-3 month stay in the hospital.  Very hard on parents and babies alike.  i will be thinking about her while she's gone.
