Everyone watches Nascar SPRINT cup on TV and thinks there watching real race cars.. They have NO CLUE... If your a fan of racing you need to go to your local race track and see what they have to offer..
i live about 20 miles from "the fastest 1/4 mile " in the world (orange county speedway) i also sponsor a car. and i would agree about nascar, 10 years ago it was still racing but it is all about the money now. nascar just wants 11/2 mile oval tracks so they can put 100,00 fans in the seats.

Yeah I like to hit allot of tracks in the summer months.. Since I don't race any more I like to go and watch and this year will be no different.. Seekonk Speedway is only about 4 miles from my house so thats my hot spot.

I used to be very much into WC racing back in the 90's - Daytona, NHIS, pit passes. It is really something different now - almost sterile if you know what I mean. They really have alienated their fanbase.
I too want to take my kids out to see a race this year. I was thinking NHIS if I could get a few tix from my "connection" but it is such a hassle getting to the track and back. Then I decided it would be Seekonk too...the kids wouldn't know the difference and the racing is still great fun, cheaper and far easier. That and it's only 20 minutes from me.
