Yes, I realize that you are the coolness when you have one in, but does my garbage man really need one WTF?

I’m sure I’m not the only one who has gotten the Ford Sync direct mail package. It’s all about being a better driver and has bumper stickers and funny postcards to send to your friends who are not good drivers. All the while they are advertising an in car Bluetooth hands free system. Sure, nothing says “good driver” like talking on the phone, freaking morons. I just see that as the height of hypocrisy, that’s all. FYI Ford, talking is a cognitive distraction and hands free conversation is just as distracting/dangerous, but thanks for encouraging it.

Sydney and the Gate.

As of yesterday the gate at the bottom of our stairs is merely a minor slowdown for Sydney. I was washing dishes yesterday and noticed that I didn’t hear here signing along with her dvd for a song. Turns out she was upstairs pulling clothes out of her drawers. It happened 2 more times before I got smart and gave up on the dishes. She’s just way too fast. 18 months old and the terrible 2s have started.

Remember a few weeks ago I told you guys about VOCUS and how if you listen to a quick sales pitch you get a $50 Barnes & Noble gift card? Anyways, I got an email the other day asking me to take a survey so I did. Yesterday I got another $25 B&N gift card. Nothing huge, but I do love free crap.

We got a new phone system at work yesterday. For some reason the ladies in the office expect me to already know every menu and trick. For god sake’s I just walked in the door, how should I know how to map keys to functions for you? Yes, I’m wicked smart and it takes me 30 seconds to figure it out, but all I did was look in the quick guide. You couldn’t have done that???? It sucks to be the intelligent one. On the plus side it’s a pretty cool system and you can pretty much program anything from your phone, it’s an ESI and I like it so far.
