Rockband 2 or Guitar Hero (4)?  That is the decision at hand.  The decision to shell out $200  - but on which?  Let's look at some facts:


 


Rock Band 2 software only comes out in Sept.  Most rock band 1 songs will be playable in 2.  There will be a $5 fee to allow your already downloaded songs to work - so , yes, most the songs you already have on your HD will work.


Both "kits" come out in October.  They both seem to have sturdy, quiet drum kits, a mic, and a guitar.  GH4 guitar is still secretive - no pics available.


All the songs on Rockband 2 disk have been announced.  It looks good.  They are all master recordings. Here's some highlights of songs you may not know:

Guitar Hero World Tour is being very secretive about their tracks.  However, it has been announced that Metallica's new album will be available for download to coincide with their new albums release.  This alone is enough info for me to say - my money is going to GH4 and not rockband.  Sure, I'll get the software for rockband, but my house is going to be rockin' to GH4 when it hits in October.  Did I mention you can record you own songs, too?

RB2. Don't be a tard and waste $200 on GH4. The only good thing to come out of GH3 was the guitar. And Cliffs of Dover.

Just a few fact corrections for you. The DLC for RB will work with RB2 for FREE. The $5.00 charge is to rip all the songs from the RB1 disc to your hard for use in RB2.\r \r And while I believe that Metallica's new album will be on GH4, GH3 will get the new Metallica album first to coincide with the release date.\r \r I would say if you already have GH3, get the Metallica album there and spend most of your dough on RB2. 500 songs by the end of the year. 'nuff said.
