My Cup Runneth Over... And, no: this isn’t a lingerie blog...
I get it. People are starving, there are human rights violations, and Canada has only 8 medals at the Olympics. But here is my dilemma: too many great games are coming out within the next few months. And when there are so many games, you need to make .. ahem.. a game plan. No game plan and you risk merely grazing as you go from game to game and you may miss out on some of the deeper elements of a game, truly a travesty.
Too Human is due out tomorrow. While talking to my buddies, I have been critical of it with respect to it’s graphics, and voice acting, but that being said I have high hopes for this one. I just NEED a good dungeon crawl. I want to break stuff with my buddies on line, and giggle like a school girl. Gimmie lots of cool weapons and armor, runes, fifty enemies on the screen and whatever else and I will be a happy lass.
After that is Infinite Undiscovery, another RPG I may sink my teeth into. This is like the sexy neighbor with an unknown past. He sure looks good and it’s a bit of a mystery. The plan? Play the bejeezus out of it and don’t call it back in the morning.
After that? Possibly a new laptop and a game to go with it. This is the gamer girl equivalent of buying new shoes, then getting an outfit to go with it, but as a women, I reserve the right to be totally flaky every once in a while. Spore, of course is the beast I would want to christen any new piece of hardware and if I play my cards right, this is how I could be spending my Monday nights while the man watches football. One night of fetching various cold beverages, making nachos and generally being fabulous should easily convince my better half that the money we saved on our car insurance should go to a glorified toy for yours truly.
And soon after that? Fallout 3. After the rowdy relationship with Too Human, and the one night stand of Infinite Undiscovery, I need a love that will tide me over in the cold, cold Ottawa winter, and Fallout 3 fits the bill nicely. And throwing mini nuclear weapons at my foes is always good for a laugh.
And that’s the highlights of my fall, my game plan to gaming bliss. What are your plans?
