 Well I am at a loss as to what to do.

I have family from Wisconsin coming in today through Saturday and I am hosting the big family cook out Saturday Night.

This morning I get  a call from my brother in law who does some engineering work for KTM.

He has three of the new 990 Super Duke R's for a test run to Santa Cruz over the weekend. This is fucking great I tell you getting to ride new bikes that wont be available to the general public for awhile and then in very limited quanities.

Should I go ride or piss off my entire family and really dissapoint my mother?

Why does this kind of shit only happen when I have other plans?

If you're family is as shitty as mine I say fuck em and go ride a great ride :) But if they're an awesome family I say you pre cook the food and tell them you got an awesome offer that you just cant turn down and you hope they are behind you. :)

If they came in from Wisconsin, I think you have to give them preference. Disappointing your mother is something that will take a lot longer to recover from than missing the test runs. Unless of course you don't like your mother, but you still shouldn't blow off your family.

My advice is to drink whiskey until the correct decision becomes apparent. Then, write down that decision and continue drinking whiskey until you pass out. Just in case you don't remember the right decision that you made, you can read it later since you wrote it down. Of course, by that time, it may be too late to do either choice.
