This is a first: usually when we play these sorts of games, I am the one shouting instructions and he is holding the controller: this time it was the reverse! I did pretty damn good! But it's on easy ( we are doing this for the story/ just to have fun) so that is great for me. So: I am a bioshock noob... I am looking for the incineration plasmin in the crematoreum. So it's early in the game. I have questions: no spoilers please... Even if my questions inadvertantly point to a spoiler...
- How long is the game?
- Do enemies respawn?
- The achievements say something about researching the enemies... is this something I will find out about int he game? Or are there just logs or something scattered int he game?
- What plasmid do you guys use? I am a total electricity/wrench type gal so far. But it's all I have! (I have a gun: haven't used it yet. I see no reason to)
- Any general advice for experiencing the game? I want to find all of the journals and things like that.... Like I said: it's on easy, and it's pretty easy we are looking to experience Rapture... not necessarily to have a total challenge. Really we are playing it quite casually.
My thoughts so far: it's SO freaky! I am chasing down that coctor, and everything points to himself as being a self imposed "artist" using the human body as a canvas (like he mutilates people for an art neauveax type of experience)
Erica update: she is sick (duh, of course she is). You give her a kiss and it tastes like snot. ew.
We went to the agricultural museum yesterday. Ottawa has a farm in the middle of the city: the experimental farm. Anyway: the Ag museum is perfect for families. Cows, pigs, horses chickens, sheep goats and a donkey. Lots of room to run around. A park. Erica went up the stairs and slid down the slide all by herself! Perfect for toddlers and preschoolers. I saw lots of families that were members, and I imagine they go every weekend to see their fav animals, run around for a nhour and go home. Like I said: it's in the city itself: so it's easy to get to.
Also on the gaming front: I reviewed Domino Master. It's not bad. If you have small kids they may really like it. I can see long distance grandparents playing this with their grandchildren. Music is horrible. Sean asked me if porn was on when he heard the music. so ya... not great, not horrible either.
