Unreadable Disc?

I went down last night and decided to play a little Tiger Woods 09.  I stick the disc in and it says there is an update.  It updates and comes back on and says that the disc is unreadable and I need to clean the disc or restart the system.  I pull the disc out and check it out.  The thing is spotless.  I am very anal about these things I am telling you, it is perfect.  I reboot the system and same thing happens.  I stick in two other games and they all need an update (odd) but after the update, they work fine.  Stick Tiger Woods in and unreadable.  The thing is spotless.  There isn't a finger print on it better yet a scratch.  What is going on?  Anybody else ever have this happen to them?  Anything I can do to fix it?

This is an elite that I bought in April. It should still be under warranty. It is only the Tiger Woods disc that is doing this. I hope it holds out until my back up gets back from being fixed. Unreadable disc error on all discs that went into it.

if it's the drive, like mine, put a disk in, and make note of the exact direction it is facing, once it gives the error, open the tray and see if the disk moved at all...if it does, I'd say wait untill the new update is finished and give it another try. if the disk doesn't move after 2-3 tries...I'd say you are in the same boat as me...playing on a spare system, or watching infomercials for the next 4-8 weeks.

This is a problem with your 360. It will eventually get worse and worse. It has nothing to do with the discs. I had to send mine back in to get fixed. From my understanding, it is the dvd drive going bad. Oh, and it's $99 dollars to fix unless you bought the Microsoft warranty. It's not covered under the extended warranty. That's only for the RRoD.
