My personal vote is, Star Trek has the brains, Star Wars has the brawns. ( I didn't include Q because they dont fit in the same realm as Jedi en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q_Continuum) yes Jedi can manipulate their environments, but they cannot warp themselves where ever they want, or start and/or end civilizations with a thought, so Q would have the unfair advantage.
For the most part I agree with Hunturic..........technology Star Trek has the advantage, but the sheer number of troops, Jedi, Bounty Hunter's, Sith etc.... gives Star Wars the edge. The Borg are a wild card IMO, yes they assimilate and adapt to technology, but against a Jedi or Sith....they might be able to adapt to the lightsabers because they are tech, but adapting to force powers I think is unattainable. I dont think the Borg have the collective brain power to take over a Jedi or Sith's mind. And as far as the mediclorians existing in another part of the galaxy, well no one can answer that question, but I dont see why they would work in one place and not the other.
ANYWAY.......the Trekkies will argue all day long for Star Trek, and Star Wars nerds will argue all day long for Star Wars.
