I know that because of my husband (Automan21k), everbody thinks that I am incredibly shy and quiet......but what he fails to tell everybody is that I am also incredibly opinionated. And since I am also on the farthest end of normal, I usually stray from hot topics such as politics and religion and focus on what really matters......music, pop culture, and football (face it, watching too much news will rot your minds more than every video game in the world combined). So without further ado, here is (in no particular order) how the world is according to me.
1. David Bowie is God. The quicker everybody stops resisting and embraces the awesomeness that is the "Thin White Duke", the better off everybody's lives will be.
2. Metallica does not exist to me after the "Reload" album. Yes, the new album may very well sound like they are getting back to their roots, but in my mind, they either broke up or died.
3. There are only two teams to root for in the NFL....the Pittsburgh Steelers......and any team that is playing the Philaelphia Eagles that weekend (even if it means rooting for the Cowboys!) Oh, and if you do not follow football, you are not human!
4. Here will be the only time that I delve into the political realm....Any politician (republican or democrat) that comes down with "diarrhea of the mouth" and draws negative attention to their state/locale, should be removed from office and have their name completely run through the mud so that they will have to resort to working at McDonald's for the rest of their miserable existance.
5. Even the piercing shriek of a screaming child....combined with the sound of a thousand nails on a chalkboard is still better than any Nickleback song (I may even have to resort to listening to "post-Reload" Metallica before I ever buy one of their albums.
6. It is a tragedy that when celebrities such as Heath Ledger die, we have the media swarming for months and millions greiving, but when icons such as Paul Newman or Charleton Heston (who paved the way for people such as Ledger) die, all we see (if we are lucky enough to catch it) is a brief article on the back page of the newspaper.
7. My cats are my kids. They are, for the most part, independent and I don't have to worry about corrupting their minds (see previous thoughts for corruption examples).
8. Just because I do not want kids of my own does not mean that I hate kids and you have to keep them away at all costs (unless, again, you are worried about the corruption thing). I just realize that I am too selfish for kids of my own and my parenting skills have much to be desired. Heck, I still accidentally shut my cats in the closet for hours at a time (members of PETA please to not hunt me down, I do not do this on purpose).
I really hope that Automan21k knows what he is getting into when he encouraed me to blog. Now that I got some of this off my chest, they will probably be much more to come. But for now, I will leave you all to ponder.
