“I look at these people and can't quite believe that they exist. Are they professional actors? I wonder. Or are they simply laymen who want a lot of attention? To put them in perspective, I think of being on an airplane. The flight attendant comes down the aisle with her food cart and, eventually, parks it beside my seat. "Can I interest you in the chicken?" she asks. "Or would you prefer the platter of shit with bits of broken glass in it? To be undecided in this election is to pause for a moment and then ask how the chicken is cooked."

Some undecided voters actually take the issues more into account. Not like many that have already made up their minds because God, guns, or race. It's just something we got to deal with, you don't have to get a 900 on your SAT's to vote. Think of the expression "Country First", but when voting it's always about how it will help me. Is my job secure? Will my 401K be worth anything when I retire? How much will I have to spend to send my kids to college? And to others it's a whole different set of issues. "Can I keep my gunz?". "Will my boy be taught Creationism instead of Evolution?". "The South will Rise again!".........Wait what?

I'm one of those undecided. Do I vindictive vote to keep one guy out? Do I follow my heart and vote for a lesser known candidate (and party) knowing full well they won't win? I probably won't decide until I am in the voting booth. @ekattan I guess that is your way of saying you are not redneck?

Sweet! At any point in time, people are "decided". They may change they mind as they get more information, but there is no such thing as truly undecided unless they simply choose not to think. In which case they "decided" to be an idiot.

@ekattan - I don't know what that is. I am thinking I SHOULD know what that is, but my frazzled brain is failing me. Sounds ... not complimentary. :)

everyone in washington has their hands tied by the money that elected them....i guess the vote is for the one that is good at playing the game and throwing us a treat once in awhile.

The people who take a long time to decide, those are the people with brains. Those that aren't swayed by the masses, that can think for themselves and don't like anyone telling them what to do or what to believe. These are the people I like to surround myself with....I hate sheep. As for myself, it took me MONTHS to decide....and my ultimate decision ended up surprising me. I don't vote based on party affiliation, what someone's predecessor has done or on only one issue..I vote based on who meshes best with my ways of thinking and who I think will lead this country in the way that I believe it needs to go. It takes me forever to punch through all the bullshit and come up with the truth and make my decision from there.....but, I did make up my mind, finally.....w00t! :D

Doorgunner nailed it. Lots of folks can't tell which one is the "good guy" for good reason. It's really more like a choice between dogshit with glass and horseshit with metal shavings. Now, hurry up and decide which you want to spend the next 4 years eating, Your vote matters, and if you don't vote, you don't have any right to complain about the taste, some choice. Politics...ICK

I guess it also makes a difference when you don't which one is shit and which one is chicken. Both of these candidates leave a LOT to be desired.

I'll take being independent and undecided over Hollywood idiots and Bible-thumping parrots any day.
