Its been a week or so.

Haven't blogged in a week or two. Figured it was time for an update.

Been playing a lot of Left 4 Dead & Gears 2....with a little Fable 2 tossed in. Good stuff. Though I think I am starting to get burned out a little. Games aren't holding my interest like they had been for the past few months.

The past few nights for example, I've had my face buried in a book. Sure...its a book based on a video game, but a book nonetheless. Gears of War: Aspho Fields to be precise. Pretty good read so far. Not the greatest read, but it fills in some gaps and expands the Gears mythos quite a bit.

Also been running through the Gears 2 campaign on Insane with my buddy Chainer. It hasn't been too bad. There were one or two rough spots (the water creature & Skorge). But other than that...not too many issues. Got to Jacinto last night for the final Act. So hopefully that'll go by pretty quickly & easily.

I've noticed in the MP that some people are trying real hard to go back to shotgun-only style gameplay. I hate that. Its not Gears 1 people. Get with the program. I've got a few MP complaints...most involve the chainsaw working for others but not me, and the fact that I probably need a friggin turbo controller to win a chainsaw duel. lol.

Ah well.

In other news. Money is damn tight. I mean....tighter than its been in a long while. And I do not care for it. Its my fault though. That week of vacation turned out to be a non-paid vacation. Which I wasn't really aware of until I returned to work. Sucks. So now with X-mas coming up, I've gotta figure out how to get gifts for Jules and the rest of my family while still being able to get groceries and what I need to finish a couple of joystick projects I'm working on.

Craziness.

I still haven't been sleeping too well. Even though I am sleeping, its not restful sleep. And I wake up quite a bit. One night I had a bad dream about almost drowning. Woke up gasping for air and really freaked out. Then after I calmed down I went back to sleep and was alright. Really weird.

Not really looking forward to X-mas this year. Too many people to buy crap for, and nowhere near enough money. I wish my family would drop the whole gift thing and just say "bring some food for X-mas dinner" and we just spend the day stress free. Or we all draw names and only buy for 1 person or something. I dunno. I'm just poor. lol...and I don't like it.

Jules is gonna be at a friends house tonight, so I'll be home alone for a little while. I'll probably try to organize the living room some, and see if I can find a few valuable items that have been deemed lost for a few weeks. I'm sure they are there. Its not a big apartment.
