I've listened to the Beach Boys since I was in 5th grade. :) There are some kid cd's that are like that.......that advertise them on the TV.......kind of kid remakes of popular songs.

The Wiggles

Do y'all get Noggin up there on satellite? They play music videos during breaks sometimes that are by people/groups that do kid songs. That might steer you in the right direction. They alsoo have a show, or used to, called "Jack's Big Music Show" that showcases different kids groups. Don't really know what "surf" music is, but what about reggae or Sublime?

Here's what you do. Put headphones on her and let her listen to Blackwind Fire And Steel by Manowar. If she wants to listen to Beach Boys then, it's hopeless.

To take doorgunner's suggestion (in all seriousness I think thats a good call), there was a song called "Spiders and Snakes" by (I think) Jim Stafford that she might get a kick out of as well.

The Wiggles- "bluh!" sorry i threw up a little in my mouth, My daughter loves the Backyardigans. She starts moving her feet and laughing when she hears the music. imagination movers They are rock and rap totally safe for kids and they are a hell of a lot more tolerable than the wiggles or barney. They even have their own TV show.
