That is an improvement of 120 points over last time! He rallied CoD: World at War gaining 4 achievements, and afterwards, there were some awkward stares and silence... you know how it is."
...and let me tell you this - those were some hard-fought achievements. Those Japanese on Relentless are insane! I mean, whoever thought you could get a headshot off while being shredded by .30 calibre machine gun?! I don't know how many times I was picked-off by that tactic.
CoD:WaW is full of those "D'oh" moments - after almost 45 minutes of fighting over a patch of ground and we're not moving forward I finally get the idea that I have point. I move up and find the 'trigger' - for a kamikaze rush, with tossed grenades and a machine gun nest. Almost instant death followed by fighting from the last checkpoint and trying to remember not only where the trigger is but also try to figure out how to trip it and survive. Wash, lather, repeat (ad nauseam).
The bright spot on all this? 'Blood and Iron' was too easy. I died maybe a half-dozen times until I figured out how to evade direct fire and panzershreck shots. Pretty simply - keep on the move. Course it was pretty cool to watch the infanty 'pop' when hit with a tank round, much more satisfying then burning 'em out.
So now I have 'Black Cats', "Blowtorch & Corkscrew', 'Breaking Point' and maybe 'Downfall' to go through. Wish me luck and few deaths.
