My neighbor (who goes over to our house and lets out our dog during the day) just called me and informed me that my cat is dead in our family room.  No idea why.

My daughter saw him but our neighbor was able to get her out of the house before she could realize he was dead.

What really sucks, is I cannot get away from work due to one of my orders hitting the shit fan right when she called.

This sux, sux major balls.  He wasn't even 5 years old, and everything seemed fine with him last night and this morning.

So I don't know what I'm going to do.  He was truly the very first pet who was mine.  Growing up, the animals were either attached to my dad or my sister.  Devons gave me a black cat for my Birthday one year, but he never really attached himself to me, and then I went off to the Marines and my parents had to put him down due to his behavior.

Scooter was mine through-and-through.  We bought him for our daughter, but he attached himself to me.  He had to be in every room I was in.  I was the only person whose lap he would sit in.

While at the computer he would sit at or even on my feet while I typed on the keyboard.

When playing Xbox, he'd constantly get on my lap and interrupt my playing, not that I ever really got mad at him for it...

I'm going to miss him...
