Still sick

That's three days now. As if my paychecks didn't look bad enough before. With the horse pills the doctor gave me yesterday, I figured I'd wake up feeling just dandy this morning. Boy was I wrong.

I still haven't gotten any writing done, but have been doing some market research and resubmitting work. I absolutely loathe that end of it. It's a little frightening, too, to see how many markets have closed their doors. It was hard enough to try and get recognized by editors before, but now you have more people competing in fewer markets.I just have to keep telling myself to stay positive.

I forgot to mention in yesterday's blog that my blood pressure is a little high. The doctor hopes quitting smoking will drop it back down where it needs to be. He wants to see me again in a month or so when I'm well to check it again. He said elevated blood pressure at 29 isn't cause for alarm, but that I don't want to let it go and be 35 and have a problem with it. Best to get it under control now. It's a little scary. I didn't figure on having to worry about shit like that until I was in my forties.

I finally watched the first two episodes of the new season of BSG yesterday. WTF? It looks to be a very exciting season. This series certainly has been a rollercoaster ride. I wish it didn't have to end. Does anyone know when (and if) Eureka will be back on? Doesn't it usually start around May or June?
