10 Things I've Learned from Video Gaming

If there's one thing I've been doing way too much of lately, it's been playing video games. I'll eventually get over the novelty of the XBOX 360 that I got for Christmas but for now, I'm have a great time knocking off zombies, repelling alien invasions, scouring the wastelands of a post-nuclear setting, and trying to earn the next achievement of whatever game finds itself in my console. So to celebrate that, I bring you realizations that I will call my wit and "wisdumb":

1. If an enemy is in range, so are you.
2. If a move looks stupid but works, it isn't stupid.
3. If at first you don't succeed, reload your last save point.
4. You need teammates. It gives the other team more targets to shoot at.
5. Every enemy looks weak when you're holding the biggest, baddest weapon in the game.
6. Friendly fire isn't friendly at all.
7. When in doubt, shoot first and ask questions later.
8. When in more doubt, shoot first, reload, shoot some more, then ask questions.
9. When in serious doubt, run back the way you came.
10. To ensure perfect aim, shoot first then call whatever you hit the target.
