I've been a fan of Friday the 13th movies since me and my cousin snuck out of bed one summer when we were 9 and 10 years old, and tuned off the lights, popped in Friday the 13th part 4, (The first we had ever even heard of the movies), and we made in almost 2 minutes in untill we got scared shitless and had to turn it off to watch Revenge of the Nerds!!  Years later, after I could make it past the head in the fridge scene, I grew to love Friday the 13th, and Jason Voorhees.  I got into the Halloween's, and the Nightmare on Elm Streets, and the Texas Chainsaw Massacre's, but none compared to the mindless monster that was Jason Voorhees.  Hell my son's name is Jayson, because I couldnt get away with Anakin!!

I love ALL the movies, the best are obviously 1-4, 5 sucked, but I still liked it.  Part 6 was decent, but parts 7-10 were great, because the actor Kane Hodder, played the part of Jason, and pretty much took over the character, and any one else who has played him....which was the last 2, Jason vs Freddy, and the brand new one....could not portray him right.  Jason is all about movement, and actions, quick head turns, deep breaths......and no one did it better than Kane Hodder.

All that aside, I went into tonights movie experience with little expectations.  I new Michael Bay would fuck it up, as he has, and is continuing to put his little fucked up take on the horror genere.  I didnt really like what he did with Texas Chainsaw Massacre,. didnt care for his take on the Amityville Horror.  He has done some great stuff....Transformers, The Hitcher, The Rock, etc.....but he needs to stick with action movies, and leave horror remakes to Rob Zombie.

I'm not going to give anything away from the movie, though no big suprises, Jason, Camp Crystal Lake, nude hot chicks, and killings.  This take on the story ads no new info, just a few questions, of why the fuck would he put that in here?  I couldn't wrap my head around the character Jason, he just seemed like a copy cat type killer...shitty body movement....since when did Jason take off in a sprint?  And in a whole the whole movie felt more like another Texas Chainsaw Massacre, but with a machette. same lead actor to.

If your a die hard Friday the 13th fan, go see it, just to see, it, casual fans should save thier $30, and wait for it to come to your cheaper 2nd play theatres, or rent it when it comes out on dvd.....my personal rating is a 4 out of 10

to see what else Michal Bay is going to fuck up:

www.imdb.com/name/nm0000881/

www.imdb.com/title/tt1179056/faq

in addition to the 2nd link......Michael Bay is "re-imagining"  A Nightmare on Elm Street, not with Robert Englund as Freddy, but Billy Bob Thorton.

BILLY BOB THORTON?  Are you fucking kidding me?  Dont get me wrong, I love me some Billy Bob, the guy fucking rule....Bad Santa, Slingblade.......but I'm sorry Bob, Freddy Krueger your not, and the fact that Michael Bay didnt even consider Robert England for the part, show's what an idiot he is.

Thats all I got

Later Fuckers

there are so many horror remakes because hollywood is afraid of new ideas. at least rob zombie's hallowen was good. and i'm glad he refused to do a part 2. if you want horror, pick up fangoria and see what good new indie horror is coming out. as long as it's not another j-horror remake as well.

Really good horror is hard to come by these days. I want something original that will twist my mind. Rip-offs and remakes are what we're stuck with, though. I like the first couple of Hellraisers. Pinhead is to me what Jason is to you. He's sick, twisted, and the last dude I want to run into. I've seen all the movies just because, but the later films kind of veered away from the whole physical pleasure/pain thing and turned it into a psychological fear.
