Shared on Thu, 02/26/2009 - 19:13I thought I would take the next few entries into some older games. I started playing video games when my stepbrother got an Atari 2600 when I was about 5. I guess I'll start with my favorite Atari 2600 games. It has been a long time since I've played most of these so the descriptions will be pretty short.
1.
Adventure- This game was amazing for its time. You were a yellow block attempting to navigate a maze and pick up keys and swords to fight dragons.
2.
Wizard of Wor- This one was memorable because it allowed 2 players. We played the heck out of it.
3.
River Raid- The controls were good and the sound effects were excellent for Atari.
4.
Combat- This never got old. Tanks, planes, and you could play against a friend.
5.
Donkey Kong- A pretty good port of the arcade game, although I hadn't seen the arcade version yet.
6.
Bezerk- Shoot in multiple directions and kill robots. More fun than it sounds.
7.
Pitfall!- If you don't know what Pitfall! is, you really don't belong on this site.
8.
Frogger- See my Pitfall! description.
9.
Keystone Kapers- Cops and robbers, multiple floors, run like crazy.
10.
Spider Man- Probably the crappiest game on this list, but I loved it. I was 5, so sue me.
