as i get older

i find there are

fewer and fewer things

that that i find pleasure in these days.

so i drink and smoke

and thank god that those

still do what they are

supposed to do .

because life is difficult

and relationships are difficult

and parenting is difficult

but what i find more difficult

is trying things that

once gave me pleasure

and finding out

they don't mean

shit.
