it's not always all good

The meeting yesterday morning was supposed to be routine.  Well, for the most part, it was.  But, sheerly by coincidence, we are opening our new Cancer Center in August, and will be moving then.  Soooo, no time off will be granted in August.  WTF?  Don't they care that I have a LAN to go to?  And not just Sat, either.  I want it all!  Thursday thru Sunday.  Thursday is a great party night where you can get to meet and have a drink with 'friends you've never met'.  I will be there if I have to, well, whatever I have to do.  I will have to come up with diseases that are appropriate for taking forbidden time off.  fuck.

Hubby called last night.  It was bad and sad.  I never wanted to hurt him, but for me, this is the best thing I could have done.  I am relearning life, taking responsibility for myself, and not under anyone's control.  That's all about that.
