Workaholic No More

I use to work ALL the time, everyone called me a workaholic.  It started when I was just about to turn 16, I was hired on at Sonic a week b4 my 16th birthday.  I worked so much that when I was a Sr. I put in over 40 hrs a week and was paid more than the manager (1998 & 99 paid $7.50/hour).  It wasn't that I needed money, I was just a teenager that didn't like to be at home (what teenager does).  After high school I went to work for Smokes mom and for a short while I would work there then drive an hour back to my home town and work at Sonic 'till close.  I got tired of that real fast, I quit Sonic and just worked for Smokes parents.  Even when I was pregnant I didn't slow down, the day I went into labor I worked until 5pm and set up my delivery room for my at home delivery.  I only took 1 week off work b4 returning, but I was able to take my daughter to work with me so that made a big difference.  Once she was old enough and it was time for preschool we took our time finding the right one.  I had to get up at 5am because her school was an hour away, drive her to school then drive an hour back for work then make the drive again in the afternoon.  And no it wasn't the only pre-school around, it was just the best.  Then she started public school and I only had to get up at 6am to get her ready in time for the bus.  We discovered the public school here blows so now she's home schooled.  The school here is so bad that this year they decided the pre-k and kindergardeners would no longer get to have snacks and milk because the money would be better spent on raises for the the already over paid fucktards that work there.  A few local parents and grand parents asked if they could donate the money for the childrens snacks & milk and the school told them no, not unless they would sign a 5 year contract to keep the donations coming.  WTF? <--- off subject I know lol

Now it's nice because I get to sleep in 'till 9am, sure I have to take Smoke the mail for work and make my daughter do her school work but that's easy lol.  Today she was done with school work by 1pm and we had lunch and played games and even went for a soak in the hot tub.  This by far beats going into work everyday to be yelled at by the boss for something you didn't do.  I'm still doing massages and starting my own business, just at my own pace  It's nice to take it easy for once in my life!
