Not sure I can do this

Remember how I said I like to play pretty games? keep that in mind.

I cracked open bioshock this afternoon to do some achievement whoreing since its one of the only games that we own that I havnt played. I got through the first level with out dying, but Im not sure I WANT to play anymore. I do dont well with the dark and scary. I dont do well with things jumping out at me from dark hallways, and I dont do well stareing at my nasty slicer hand with boils on it. I might just be too much of a pansy to play this.

So I give it points for the art deco feel and being very pretty, but I think the dark and scary and gross might outwiegh the pretty.

Why is it I have no problem touching puke, poop, blood, and other bodily fluids in real life. I didnt even bat an eye last week when the fat one puked all over his carseat and himself when we were two hours from home and I got to clean it up while shakes stood 20 ft from the car breating in through his nose and out through his mouth with his eyes closed trying not to lose his lunch. But seeing splicers with mutilated faces gives me a huge case of the shivers?

I played thru Bioshock and I didn't get the same creepy feeling you do. It's just a game. And I found it to be a lot of fun. Try again!

With small children you really can only play BioShock when the kids are at school or in bed. Since I have to work during the day, that meant playing at night. I've got a great sound system and I was creeped out most of the time I played. I enjoyed the feeling. It was invigorating. I agree with Pearly that you should try again. The story is just so good that it would be a shame not to experience it.

I totally agree Samurai. Definitly a game only to be played while little ones arent around. Maybe I will give it a second chance when shakes is home tonight so he can protect me from the scary splicers.

Now if you really want to scare the crap out of yourself rent either of the Condemned series....I had to stop playing the first one because it scared me too much. :(

Certain creepy games get to me too Lady I understand. But I do love a good story. Let's play penguins - you know how they line up on the edge of ice until one of them gets knocked into cold water to see if he is eaten by a shark? Well you just jumped in - if you don't get eaten then I know I have to pick this up and play too. ;) Deal?
